Blue Sky Alberta Scholarship
Deadline: May 1, 2009
3 Scholarships of $750.00 will be awarded to three students (two who reside in the Town of High Level and one from the surrounding area) who write a compelling essay on the topic:
CREATING ENVIRONMENTAL CHANGE
Eligibility
- You must be enrolled with a post-secondary facility or in an apprenticeship training program that is at least 2 years in duration by September, 2009.
- Students applying for this scholarship must be graduating in 2009 from the Fort Vermillion School District.
- Preference will be given to applicants who can demonstrate a history of volunteerism and social activism.
A Complete Application consists of the following:
- The application form, fully completed and signed;
- An essay, 750 – 1,000 words in length, typed and double-spaced, describing an innovation or idea for creating a greener world;
- Official high school transcript or Course Mark Inquiry stamped with a school seal and signed by a school official showing your high school marks to date;
- Documentation of your enrolment in a post-secondary institution or apprenticeship training program. If you have not received confirmation of acceptance, please include a letter stating the institution and program in which you intend to study and a copy of your application;
- A reference letter from a teacher or official from your school stating why you are an outstanding candidate for this scholarship;
- All of the required documents submitted in one envelope POSTMARKED NO LATER THAN MAY 1, 2009.
